Hight barriers in essence deny those with vehicles over a certain height access to parts of the public roadway, as defined in The ROADS ACT, 1993.
Height barriers have been erected to combat the effects of unauthorised camping,
however it is not clear if it is legally permisible that such barriers can be erected to deny access to those who have a legitimate entilement to use such sections of the public roadway in their vehicles.
In France the C.L.C. have successfully used
the justice system to have hight barriers which impede the free movement of motorhomes over certain hights removed and have recieved compenstion awards against the offending local administrations.
